AAA's suggestions for drivers during frigid weather
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Hopefully drivers will find their cars in working order Tuesday morning, despite the frigid temperatures.
AAA is gearing up for a busy day since many cars may have been idle over the holidays.
Since 5 p.m. on New Year's Day, AAA has responded to nearly 700 drivers who needed service. Extreme cold puts more stress on car batteries. Sometimes critters may crawl into cars during this type of weather.
AAA also says driver's should check their tires. Those that are not fully inflated are more at risk for flats or blowouts.
AAA also suggests making sure cell phones are fully charges, cars have a full tank of gas and drivers keep an emergency kit in their cars in case they get stuck.
