At least 3 hurt during Avondale fire after someone attempts to kill bed bugs

AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) - At least three people were hurt during a fire in Avondale Saturday morning.

The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

The fire started just after midnight at 325 Hutchins Avenue. Someone was reportedly trying to kill bed bugs.

There was already heavy fire in the building when firefighters arrived. The fire appeared to have started on the first floor and spread to the second and third floors.

Damage is estimated at $250,000, and ten people were displaced.

The cause remains under investigation.
