Benefit concert held at Urban Artifact
CINCINNATI - Folks heard good music for a good cause on Saturday in Northside.
A benefit concert happened Saturday afternoon at Urban Artifact.
The money raised will go to Grace Place, a shelter for women and children who are transitioning from homelessness.
It was put on by CAIN or Church Active in Northside.
Local musician Dave Hawkins, who works out of Nashville, helped organize the event.
"I've been lucky. My whole life I've been blessed," Hawkins said. "Whenever I have a chance to pay forward what people have done for me, I like to do that, especially if I'm in town and not on the road."
Hawkins played songs from his new album called, "As Long as We Get There."
