CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The wait is over! BLINK is back, and it all started with a massive parade Thursday night.
WATCH THE FULL PARADE:
"The Cincinnati Chamber and many others have been working very hard to bring this together,” Blink spokesperson Rich Walburg said. “All of that that was on paper and in computers and now it’s going to be shared with everyone and we’re just very excited to finally open BLINK and to share this moment of art and light with everyone.”
ArtWorks produced the parade, and ArtWorks CEO Tamara Harkavy said many of the artists have been working on their installations for nine months.
"I think the most amazing thing is going to be how people interact and Cincinnati is so jazzed,” Harkavy said. “I’m just knocked out by the love and the excitement of complete strangers who are going to come down here and experience this.”
The parade started at Eighth and Vine Streets and ended at West Freedom Way at The Banks.
“Blink was designed to show that Cincinnati is not just trying to be a future city, but is a future city, and that this is home and potential home for creatives, artists, innovators, from around the globe,” Walburg said.
