Boone County deputies believe a medical issue led to a fatal crash
VERONA, Ky. (WKRC) - Boone County Sheriff's deputies say a medical issue led to a fatal crash in Verona Monday evening.
Deputies say Carl Domaschko, 66, was driving his minivan down his driveway towards Walton Verona Road at 6 p.m., when he's believed to have suffered a medical issue. His minivan went off the driveway, through a field and onto Walton Verona Road. He crossed the road and slammed into an earth embankment.
Emergency crews took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Walton Verona Road was closed for about two hours as police investigated. Deputies said Domaschko wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
