Butler County corrections officer dies after motorcycle accident
BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A Butler County corrections officer has died from injuries she sustained in a three-wheel motorcycle accident. Carol Seals, 54, was a sergeant with Butler County.
Seals was in Preble County when she was hurt in that accident on May 12. She passed away on May 22.
Seals has been with the Butler County Sheriff's Office since 2005. She's been a sergeant since 2007.
"Sergeant Seals was one of my hardest working employees who is loved by everyone she supervised and worked side by side with. Sergeant Seals was passionate about her career in law enforcement and corrections. If there is one thing I'm sure of, it's that whomever I hired and was trained by Sgt. Seals was going to excel in their own career. Her values are instilled in everyone that has been lucky enough to have her as their supervisor, instructor, co-worker, and friend," said Sheriff Jones.
Seals also worked as a police officer for Fairfield.
