Colerain Township man accused of killing baby appears in court

Domynyk Gilliam is accused of throwing an 8-month-old baby against a wall and into a crib in Colerain Township (WKRC)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A man accused of throwing a baby against a wall in Colerain Township, killing him is locked up on $450,000 bond on a murder charge. Domynyk Gilliam, 33, appeared in court Friday.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Struble Road at about 11:30 a.m. on July 19 for a report of a baby not breathing. Medics tried reviving Se'mir Brown but he died at the scene.

During a call to 911, Gilliam said Se'mir was the baby of his wife's cousin. He was watching him while his wife was at work.

According to court papers, Gilliam admitted to throwing Se'mir against the wall and into the crib, causing a head injury.

Gilliam is also charged with felonious assault and endangering children.
