ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - Coney Island will reopen for its 2023 season on Saturday with several new fun features for the family.
Four new pickleball courts have been installed and will be ready for playing by opening weekend.
"We're picking up on the craze, families really enjoy it, friends can enjoy it," said Coney Island Marketing Consultant Tricia Mullin.
There is also a new Sports Alley with soccer pool and street curling, as well as disc golf and fowling.
"We're trying to do a little unique activities, things you don't really see around town that often," Mullin said.
Coney Island has been open more than 130 years and is a tradition to so many Cincinnati families.
Coney Island Brand Manager Kaitlyn Shouse says Coney Island was her first job. She has worked at the park for eight seasons, but this is her first summer in this new role.
"It's my absolute dream job and being able to be on this side of things and talk to you guys, and talk about all the things I love about the park, and welcome new guests into the pool this summer, is something I'm super, super excited to see," Shouse said.
