CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Hamilton County Coroner Lakshmi Sammarco said her office doesn't see any direct connection between the death of a UC student and the J&J vaccine.
John Foley got the vaccine on Saturday. The 21-year-old from Columbus died Sunday.
She said there was some misinformation out there about blood clots and pulmonary emboli but nothing showed up on the tests.
Dr. Sammarco doesn't have a cause of death for Foley yet following the autopsy. They were still waiting for pathological test results, infectious disease test results and medical records.
"We have some additional findings on autopsy that are more likely his cause of death but we don't see a direct connection but we are investigating to see if there's an indirect connection."
