CPD investigators have found van driven by suspect in shooting of OTR bar manager (Cincinnati Police)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati Police investigators have found the van that they have been searching for after a shooting put an Over-the Rhine bar manager in the hospital.

Ellie Richardson was shot in the face near the intersection of 12th and Walnut while leaving Lachey's Bar in OTR early Thanksgiving morning after working a shift. A van reportedly almost hit her and then when Ellie reportedly engaged the driver she was shot. Police called the incident a case of "road rage."

The owner of the bar, popular singer and artist Nick Lachey, called for justice in a tweet shortly after the shooting.

"Ellie is the brightest light and she will find a way to shine through this darkness. Anyone with any information, help us find some justice," said Lachey.

Police haven't been able to talk with Ellie Richardson yet because of her condition, but her family says she's out of the ICU and improving. She's able to drink water and eat soft foods.

Police are still searching for the suspect. Police describe the gunman as an African-American, in his 20's, with a slight beard. Police say he was wearing gold-rimmed glasses.
