WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) - Cincinnati Public Schools plans to open a new school at the former Mother of Mercy High School campus in August of 2019.
CPS announced plans to hold a series of meetings to try to find the ideal fit for the Westwood school.
The district bought the building after the Sisters of Mercy closed the school after more than 100 years.
Cincinnati Public Schools superintendent Laura Mitchell says plans for a new and innovative school. "And so we're really taking some time to talk the community and talk to kids to identify what's going to go in here, in terms of programs and grade levels that's new and cutting edge to CPS in a building that is like no other building that we have in the district."
A series of listening sessions will be held next month.
