2 hospitalized, dog dies in fire at Mt. Washington apartment complex

MT. WASHINGTON, Ohio (WKRC) - Crews battled a fire at an apartment complex in Mt. Washington early Tuesday.

It was reported just after 2 a.m. at the Sutton Park Apartments on Sutton Avenue near Cambridge Avenue.

When firefighters arrived, they found one apartment with flames coming from the rear. The fire was knocked down within minutes.

The fire department said two adults were taken to the hospital for evaluation and a dog died in the fire.

The fire caused an estimated $70,000 worth of damage.

The cause is under investigation.
