ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A very special 10-year-old girl was raising money over the weekend to help other sick children.
Cate Alston has CRMO, a rare auto-inflammatory bone disorder.
Cate and her mother spent time baking and planning the fundraiser called "Cupcakes for Cancer."
Cate's goal is to fill 25 backpacks with goodies and give them to patients at Children's Hospital.
"Art helped me when I was having bone biopsies and surgeries," Cate said. "So I decided to make art bags to help kids get through this so when they are getting chemo they can try colorign a picture or distracting themselves."
Cate will be back at the Anderson Senior Center on Beechmont Avenue Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. selling her cupcakes at the holiday open house.
