SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) - A 38-year-old woman was found dead behind a dumpster Monday morning and her husband was charged with abuse of a corpse.

A neighbor at the Sharon Court Mobile Home Park found Lea Ann Smothers' body at around 9:30 a.m.

Sharonville Police said Smothers was bleeding from the mouth and nose and was not wearing any clothes.

Her husband, Brian Smothers, was found at his father's home in Grant County, Kentucky. He was taken into custody and questioned.

"We feel like this is an isolated incident. This is a safe area so we don't want residents to be in fear and as soon as we get more information we will release it," said Officer Cheryl Price of the Sharonville Police Dept.

An autopsy will determine how Smothers died.

A neighbor told Local 12 News he heard a loud boom around midnight. He also said he had called 911 in October because a woman was screaming for help.

Officer Price said Brian Smothers was not at the trailer when they arrived and it appeared Lea Ann had broken the window to the trailer.
