RABBIT HASH, Ky. (WKRC) - Duke Energy donated $25,000 to help the owners of the Rabbit Has General Store rebuild after a fire.
The landmark and gathering place burned down Feb. 13. Investigators were looking at the old potbelly stove as a possible cause.
The owners of the store vowed to rebuild. Duke Energy gave them a check on Feb. 23. The company operates a power plant near Rabbit Hash.
For now, store operations are happening at the barn across the street. The Rabbit Hash General Store had been a working store since 1831.
