CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) - A new family entertainment center will open in the next two weeks inside a former Kmart complex.

The Omni Funplex at 12171 Omniplex Court in Forest Park includes a laser tag arena, trampoline park, boutique bowling alley, virtual reality games, an arcade, a bar and a cafe.

Hari Pisati, CEO of Omni Sports & Funplex Ltd., said the new entertainment complex is designed for families with the tagline “for ages 5 to 65.”

“Family time is becoming rarer and rarer,” he told me. “This is a place they can come in together and spend quality time.”

Pisati said he’s targeting West Side families who currently have to travel across the region to go to an entertainment venue with only one of the attractions that have been combined in the new center.

He also envisions quick service at the cafe that will appeal to local office workers during their lunch hour while offering them the ability to bowl a few frames, play an arcade game or participate in other activities to take a break. Menu offerings will include wings, salads, wraps and finger foods.
