CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Five people from Cincinnati face federal charges for allegedly cashing stolen checks. Stephano "Face" Henderson, Laneal (Phatty Boi) Henderson, Eugene Clifford, Markalo Harris and Ebony Lattimore all face one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and at least one count of aggravated identity theft.

The office of U.S. Attorney Benjamin Glassman said from February 2017 until April 2018, the five stole checks from mailboxes at homes or businesses. They would then pretend to be the person named on the check to cash them.

The group is also accused of reprinting original checks by changing the name on the check to the name of people recruited to cash the checks.

Each of the five could face up to 30 years in prison. Stephano Henderson also faces one count of bank fraud.

Law enforcement officers from Green Township, West Chester, Greensburg, Norwood and Madeira joined the U.S. Postal inspection Service, the Secret Service, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Glassman's office in announcing the charges.
