Dozen people injured in fire at apartment complex in Paddock Hills


    Four-alarm fire breaks out at apartment complex in Paddock Hills (WKRC)

    PADDOCK HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) - A four-alarm fire broke out on Sunday evening at the Park Lane Apartments on Victory Parkway in Paddock Hills.

    According to the Cincinnati Fire Department, the fire began on the third floor and the nine-story building.

    At least 12 people escaped the fire with some sort of injury, six were treated on scene, and seven were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There were no serious injuries.

    There was a mayday call for the fire due to a firefighter's mask coming off. However the firefighter was taken to a safe place, was looked at and went back to work.

    The Red Cross is assisting 37 people who have been displaced from their apartments.

    Damage is estimated to at around $500,000.

    No cause has been determined for the fire.
