CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) - St. Bernard is host to the revival of a Greater Cincinnati brewery with nearly 150 years of history, and Cincinnati Business Courier has your sneak peek inside ahead of the grand opening.

The Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Co. opens June 26 at 4811 Vine St. in St. Bernard, marking the first time the brewery, which traces its roots back to 1870, had a physical brewing presence in Greater Cincinnati since 1983.

The brand and brewery was revived by Jon Newberry in 2012, 30 years after the original Newport factory shut down. George Wiedemann originally launched the company in 1870.

Now, it has a permanent home in the former Imwalle Memorial Funeral Home, which has been renovated into an old-time beer hall with an outdoor deck and beer garden. Wiedemann raised $3 million to convert the funeral home.
