Good Samaritan helps get 7-year-old girl wandering around Price Hill home
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Police are praising the actions of a local Good Samaritan.
Police say a 7-year-old girl sneaked out of her aunt's house on Sunday night. Her aunt lives near Grand and Warsaw,
She made it all the way to the UDF on Queen City, which is about two miles away, when Tyron White saw her.
He knew something was off and offered to walk her home. She took him up on it.
Police are praising him on Monday night.
"It was like two in the morning, and what 7-year-old should be walking around this late? So I decided to walk up and see what was going on. So I asked her if she cared if I walk her home, and she said yes," said White. "She pointed me in the direction to get home, and she pointed all the way up the hill, and it was a long hill, and I was like is this the way? Is that the way? She was kinda nervous."
Police, who were out looking for the girl as well, found them about a mile from the UDF.
They offered to take her home, but she apparently wouldn't leave White's side, so White rode with them to drop her off.
White says once they got to her aunt's, she jumped right on the couch and started watching TV.
No one's quite sure how she wandered off.
