COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - Homeowners in Covington have been doing a lot of cleaning up lately.

A number of houses and cars in the area have been tagged with hateful messages. Local 12 found a couple on Bakewell Street scrubbing away graffiti with brushes and sandpaper.

As if being vandalized isn't enough, they recently put their house on the market.

"They walked all the way to the back to the house, even stood on our porch and spray-painted the front door. You don't even know if anyone is here, and yet they still had the nerve to walk back here and do that," said Michael Sebastian.

"We're both students; we both work. This is one of the things to put on the to-do list that didn't really need to be added," Paige Dement said.

So far, there haven't been any arrests, and some homes have been tagged more than once.
