Indianapolis man charged with two Blue Ash bank robberies

Blue Ash Police say Dennis Grigsby robbed to US Bank branches on Kenwood Road (BAPD)

BLUE ASH, Ohio (WKRC) - An Indianapolis man, already on probation for previous bank robberies, is now charged with robbing banks in Blue Ash. Dennis Grigsby was indicted on charges of robbery.

Blue Ash Police Chief Paul Hartinger says Grigsby robbed the US Bank on Kenwood Road on September 8 and a different US Bank on Kenwood Road on October 25. In each robbery, police say he passed a teller a note. No one was hurt in either robbery.

Grigsby was on federal probation for 2011 convictions for bank robberies in the Columbus, Ohio area. Grigsby is also being investigated for other bank robberies, according to Blue Ash Police.

Grigsby was arrested in Indianapolis by officers from Blue Ash and Indianapolis and the FBI. He is awaiting extradition to Ohio. Chief Hartinger said his investigators have not found anything that ties Grigsby to Blue Ash.

Chief Hartinger said officers did receive tips from the public.
