KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - The Kenton County Animal Shelter provided an update Monday on a dog rescued from the Ohio River.

The shelter said Shirley B wasn't seriously hurt after falling from a bridge. X-rays showed that her lungs are clear, and she's currently taking medicine as a precaution.

Rescuers named her after the tugboat that helped get her our of the water.

The shelter will hold the dog for five days. After that, she will be up for adoption.
