Kings Dance Team honors military with American flags (Kings Local School District)

KINGS MILL, Ohio (WKRC) - Over 3,000 American flags were placed at the campuses of Kings Junior and High Schools in honor of servicemen and servicewomen.

To honor Military Week in the Kings Local School District, the Kings Dance Team placed the flags as a fundraiser for the team and the Yellow Ribbon Support Center.

In addition to the flag fundraiser, the the Kings Dance Team is hosting a "Soldiers Wish List" drive, collecting donations for the Yellow Ribbon Support Center. The dance team will accept donations at the junior high campus on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during its Drive4URSchool fundraiser.

Students will also be honoring each branch of the military by "dressing accordingly," according to the district.

The culmination of Military Week will take place on Friday night at the Kings High School home football game against the Anderson Redskins for Military Appreciation Night. The Kings Choir and alums will be singing the national anthem at the game and the first 300 fans to the game will receive and American flag and the first 200 will receive a commemorative towel from Agenter Orthodontics.
