Local 12 welcomes Kyle Inskeep as new co-anchor
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - You'll see a new face on Local 12 starting Monday. Kyle Inskeep is set to being co-anchoring the 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. newscasts on Local 12 as well as the 10 p.m. news on WSTR (Star 64).
Inskeep joins Local 12 from WXIN in Indianapolis where he has anchored and reported for their morning newscast since April of 2015. Kyle began his career as a reporter and anchor for WTWO in Terre Haute, Indiana. While working there his role included covering President Obama’s September 2014 visit to Princeton, Indiana. Inskeep was also one of the first reporters on the ground following the November 2013 tornado outbreak that hit portions of central Illinois and southern Indiana.
Directly following college he joined NBC News in Washington, D.C. and was selected as a 2012 Tim Russert Fellow. As part of that program, Kyle worked as a researcher for the network’s “political unit” assisting correspondents and field producers while working alongside the Meet The Press digital team.
“Kyle has the depth of experience that we look for in a news anchor, yet beyond his impressive credentials is a journalist that connects with the audience. We’re excited about viewers and users being able to interact with Kyle on multiple platforms including digital as well as on-air,” said Jon Lawhead, Group Manager of the Sinclair Broadcast Group for Cincinnati and Dayton.
Inskeep graduated Magna Cum Laude from Butler University with a degree in Electronic Journalism.
