EAST PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) - A local nonprofit says it can help a lot of children after a big donation.

The PNC Bank Foundation has awarded $25,000 to Santa Maria Community Services in East Price Hill.

That means it can provide 200 tablets for preschool age kids and unlimited books for a year.

The money also provides those kids with three brand new outfits for them to wear to school.

"We underestimate the importance of that to our families,” said Susan Conrad, the director of support services. “A lot of them have to use the laundromat, so they don’t have time to get clean clothing the way we do, it’s hard for them. It’s difficult. The ability for that child to start out in brand new clothing makes them like they can take on the world."
