CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A post office supervisor pleaded guilty to embezzling mail packages for profit Thursday.

Kerry Beech Jr., who pleaded guilty in front of the U.S. District Court, says he received $500 for each time he intercepted certain packages from the mail system that he would hand deliver later.

Reports say that Beech was working for the Post Office from 2013 to 2021, most recently at Parkdale Post Office in Cincinnati. Officials believe that in 2020, Beech embezzled 28 packages in coordination with the person that he would deliver to.

Four sealed packages containing fentanyl and methamphetamine were seized in July 2020 by federal agents. Agents also found $4,500 in cash and a loaded pistol in Beech’s vehicle.

Beech was charged by a Bill of Information in September 2022.
