Cincinnati Serviceman killed in auto accident in Texas

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WKRC) - Before Hurricane Harvey came ashore, a serviceman from Cincinnati lost his life.

An Air Force Serviceman from Cincinnati died Saturday in San Antonio after crashing his silver Honda Accord.

Nicholas Taylor, 22 was in San Antonio for security force training striving to be a Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Elements (DAGRE).

Taylor, a 2013 alum of La Salle High School recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati.

Ryan Denney taught Taylor at La Salle.

"Nick was a fine student and he was a better man. So, I'll miss him dearly and I can only hope and pray. I don't know God's plan but I can just hope that he knows what he is doing and it happened for a reason," said Denney.

His visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Clifton Crossroads.

His funeral is Saturday at 11 a.m.
