ERLANGER, Ky. (WKRC) - People camped out all night in one part of Northern Kentucky all in hopes of getting their dream home.

They're at the Fischer Homes' office in Erlanger so they can get one of the new lots being developed in the Villa Hills-Crescent Springs area.

It's called Reserve at Meadwood.

The $38 million development is an extension of a community built 20 years ago.

There are more than a half dozen people who started camping out on Thursday to wait for a pre-sale Saturday morning.

One man found out about the pre-sale in an email.

"I had my dog in the car. I was taking my dog to the vet. I called my wife and said, 'I'm going and I took my dog in. Took him right into the house, basically tossed him right over the gate and headed right out. [I] grabbed my tent. Grabbed my sleeping bag, headlamps, everything that I could think of," Brain Barclay said.

Fischer was nice enough to let everyone inside instead of making them camp in the cold.

They even bought them air mattresses and meals.
