Man accused of stealing chalice and other items from downtown Cincinnati church
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Mt. Airy man is charged with stealing a gold chalice and gold coins from a downtown Cincinnati church. David Tenhundfeld faces theft and drug paraphernalia charges.
According to court papers, Tenhundfeld stole the items from St. Xavier Church on November 16. In addition to the chalice and coins, police also say Tenhundfeld stole a leather box. In all, the stolen items were worth $2,000.
The theft was recorded on surveillance video. When police caught up with Tenhundfeld, he confessed to the theft and admitted that it was him on the video.
Police said they also found four syringes and two spoons for preparing and injected heroin.
A judge ordered Tenhundfeld held on $35,000 bond.
