Man killed in Middletown house fire identified

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - A man is dead after a fire in Middletown Monday night. Middletown firefighters have identified him as James Gann, 71.

Crews were called to Sixth Avenue near Yankee Road around 9:30 p.m.

Firefighters said the home was completely engulfed in flames when they arrived.

People on scene said Gann's son broke into the house to try to save him.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
