A soon-to-be father is in jail, accused of seriously hurting a baby in mid-October (Hamilton County Sheriff's Department)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A man is in jail after police say he seriously hurt a baby in mid-October.

Court documents claim 24-year-old Marvin Binford tossed a 9-month-old boy into the street, injuring the baby's face and neck.

This happened at the Glengate Acres Apartments on Glengate Lane near Maple Avenue.

On the same day, Binford allegedly tried to attack his girlfriend, who is pregnant with his unborn child, attempting to punch and cut her. Court documents don't say how he's connected to the 9-month-old.

He was arraigned Wednesday on charges of felonious assault, assault, and domestic violence. His bond was set at $22,500.

Binford has a prior conviction for domestic violence back in 2013.
