CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A woman suspected of shooting her boyfriend in the head in Millvale said it was an accident. Mahogney Freeman, 22, is charged with felonious assault.
Assistant Prosecutor David Wood said Freeman woke up her boyfriend, Herbert Heard, with a smack on July 26 to confront him about another woman. They fought and then settled down but Wood said she wanted him to leave her Bowling Green Court home, so she pointed a gun at him. She told police it went off by accident.
Heard is in critical but stable condition. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", said Judge Ted Berry. Wood replied, "An armed woman scorned".
Freeman is also accused of having a sawed-off shotgun and a small amount of heroin in her home.
Judge Berry ordered her held on $120,000 bond and ordered her to stay away from Heard. He told her he hoped she wouldn't end up back in court rearraigned on murder charges.
