Man sustains life-threatening injuries in crash while escorting funeral on motorcycle
WYOMING, Ohio (WKRC) - Emergency crews were called to an accident involving a funeral escort on a motorcycle in Wyoming.
The motorcycle and a car collided at Springfield Pike and Wentworth Avenue at about 12:15 p.m.
According to a report from Wyoming Police, 74-year-old Sylvia Henderson was attempting to turn eastbound onto Wentworth Avenue from southbound Springfield Pike when she was struck by 25-year-old Christopher Smith, who was escorting a funeral with his motorcycle.
Smith was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for life threatening injuries received in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
Previous reports to Local 12 indicated that Smith is a police officer. Wyoming police have said that they cannot confirm that information.
