CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati's largest companion animal adoption event kicks off today at the Sharonville Convention Center.
The "My Furry Valentine" adoption event will take place today and tomorrow and feature nearly 1,000 animals available for adoption.
The event includes several different vendors and non-profit organizations.
One organization, Adore-a-Bull Rescue, brought "Vixen", a 7 to 8-year-old bull terrier mix that loves people and children.
Vixen is available for adoption along with 15 other dogs through the rescue.
"It is always a great idea. So many dogs need homes. In bad situations or have somehow not been able to stay in homes. when you adopt a dog, you save a life," said Carlynn with Adore-a-Bull Rescue.
The event lasts from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
General admission for My Furry Valentine is $5 and kids under the age of 5 receive free admission.
