OXFORD, OH (WKRC) - The city of Oxford will soon have a new bike trail.
A $500,000 gift will help construct the bike trail.
The gift comes from the Howard and Gwyn Dubois Family Fund.
The family consists of avid bike riders and they decided to donate the money in order to speed up the process of building the trail.
The DuBois Family hopes that the citizens of Oxford and visitors can enjoy riding the trail for recreation and enjoyment.
Developing a love of cycling has been a central part of their family life and they want to share this with others in the community.
Oxford has committed to putting a 12 mile multi-use path in it's comprehensive plan. The city has applied for grants and passed a tax levy to help fund the new trail.
It will be built one segment at a time with the entire 12 miles completed by the year 2028.
