New ownership takes over Belterra, doors close temporarily

Belterra Casino and Resort is coming under new ownership on Monday. (WKRC)

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - Belterra Park is was turned over to new ownership on Monday, Oct. 15.

The racino (racing casino) closed its doors at midnight. Patrons were asked to leave.

The racino was purchased by Boyd Gaming Corporation from Pinnacle Gaming. The change comes a little more than four years after the racino first opened its doors.

The new owners are evaluating things inside but Local 12 is told guests won't see immediate changes.

The closure is only temporary. It will reopen again Monday evening at 6 p.m.

According to its social media, Belterra Casino also closed and will reopen at 6 p.m.


Both Belterra properties are now listed under the Boyd Gaming Corporation website.
