NEWPORT, Ky. (WKRC) - Police in northern Kentucky are trying to find two men who stole thousands of dollars from a bank truck.

Newport Police say they were called to Newport on the Levee around 9:30 a.m. That's where a Brink's armored car driver was emptying one of the ATMs.

Surveillance video shows a man run up behind the worker and take off with a bag of cash.

"They had been around watching the scene a little bit, watching the area. They were able to set up in a coffee shop and sit at the table. One of them watched the Brink's armor guy come in with the money. As they sat and wait for him to finish up, the other one came from behind and took the money and they both ran off," said Newport Police Det. Dennis McCarthy.

The two took off with more than $26,000 in cash. If you know where they are, all Newport Police at 859-292-3622.
