COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The National Football League is auctioning off official Paris Johnson Jr. autographed draft items to support veterans and young student-athletes.
The NFL is auctioning off a signed hat, jersey, and helmet. The money raised from the auctions is going to Johnson's foundation.
The Paris Johnson Jr. Foundation said it is dedicated to empowering and serving disabled veterans and disadvantaged student-athletes with dignity and respect.
Johnson's foundation won the Armed Forces Merit Award for his work to provide food and clothing for those people in need.
According to its website, the foundation has raised $15,000 and has served more than 100 veterans and more than 350 students in need.
Johnson, a Cincinnati native and All-American offensive lineman from Ohio State, was drafted No. 6 overall by the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.
