CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Police have arrested a man suspected of slashing another man at the Cincinnati Zoo. Mark Lanham is charged with felonious assault.

Police say that Lanham and the victim got into an argument at the zoo on July 29. Police say Lanham and another man attacked the victim, stabbing him across the neck. Police have not identified the second suspect.

Assistant prosecutor David Wood showed the judge a picture of the victim's injuries. In addition to being sliced across the neck, Wood said he was beaten in the face.

Lanham is from Georgetown, Kentucky. He was booked into the jail Tuesday after the victim identified him in a lineup.

Lanham's attorney says he turned himself in. The attorney called the case sensational and said that Lanham did not have the knife. He said Lanham only got involved to try to stop the incident.

A judge ordered Lanham held on $100,000 bond.
