Police search for suspect after 70-year-old woman attacked, abducted in West Price Hill
WEST PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) - A 70 year old woman was abducted and drugged in West Price Hill. Cincinnati police want your help to find her attacker.
Lieutenant Don Luck with District 3 says it’s a bizarre case that they are taking very seriously. It started as a missing person's report and turned into an abduction.
The woman left her house around 7 a.m. in the morning to go for a walk like she normally does, but when she didn't return her family got very worried.
Cincinnati police spent hours searching for her on Monday afternoon. The missing person's investigation turned into an abduction case when she was eventually found.
The victim told police a man grabbed her around the waist and dragged her down the driveway and behind a boarded up home on Rapid Run Road. He sprayed a unknown substance in her mouth. She was out for close to 12 hours. She woke up in the weeds behind an abandoned home around 7 p.m.
She told her ordeal to her neighbors Della and George Preston. The couple said she’s been very upset.
"She said that he said 'don’t yell or scream or anything I can hurt you.' He told her to open her mouth and she said 'no I'm not going to' - so he forced it open and sprayed stuff in her mouth. It wasn't long before she went out and she didn't know anything else," said Della.
She told her neighbors she found her phone by her side, but it had been turned off. She turned it back on and called her family for help. The 70-year-old woman was taken to the hospital.
Lt. Luck said they are using DNA and cameras in the neighborhood to try and track down the suspect. Police say the suspect is described as a white man in his 40's, bald, with a large build. He was wearing a hat, white shirt, khaki pants and apparently he had a scarf wrapped around his face.
