OSHP: 7-year-old boy missing at Stonelick Lake wasn't actually missing, is safe
EDENTON, Ohio (WKRC) - Ohio State Highway Patrol says that the search for a missing 7-year-old boy at Stonelick Lake was sparked by a misunderstanding and that the child is safe.
Reportedly, the child was picked up from the beach area near the lake by his mother.
Another parent did not know this but realized that the child was "missing." That parent thought they saw the "missing" child in the water and police were called around 5 p.m. on Friday.
The lake is near Edenton in Wayne Township.
