Sheriff: Man shot while struggling with carjacker in Lincoln Heights

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio (WKRC) - A man was shot reportedly while trying to fend off a carjacker in Lincoln Heights.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said the 57-year-old man was stopped in the area of Simmons Street shortly after midnight.

That's when a man pulled out a gun and forced his way into the vehicle.

There was a struggle and the victim was shot in the lower torso. He drove himself to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Detectives haven't released any other information.
