CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Several soccer teams take part in a World Cup-style tournament at Withrow High School.
The annual "World Refugee Day Cup Tournament" was hosted by the Junior League of Cincinnati.
The tournament brings together refugees, immigrants and native Cincinnatians.
About 15 different countries were represented.
A resource fair was also held for families during the tournament.
"The goal today is bringing the community together, to promote a welcoming city," said Robyn Lamont of Refugee Connect. "Our city has some incredible diversity and we really want to highlight just how diverse we are."
The winners of the tournament got trophies and tickets to an FC Cincinnati game.
Three refugee students were also honored with scholarships.
There are more than 25,000 refugees living in Cincinnati.
