Springfield Township auto repair shop owner badly burned in fire
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - An auto repair shop owner was badly burned during a fire at his Springfield Township shop Thursday.
The man was at K&K & Son Auto Repair on Wilson Avenue when the fire started. The Springfield Township fire chief said the man's wife saw the fire and pulled her husband out of the burning shop.
The victim was rushed to UC Medical Center with critical injuries.
A Colerain firefighter who was assisting Springfield Township firefighters sprained his ankle and was taken to the hospital to get checked out.
Firefighters estimate the fire did $100,000 in damage to the business. The fire appears accidental but investigators don't know exactly how it started.
