Standoff at Union Township apartment comes to peaceful end
UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A three-hour standoff came to a peaceful end in Clermont County Sunday afternoon.
Union Township police were called to an apartment on Stone Creek Way to check the welfare of the man who lives there, Richard Pesek.
According to officers, Pesek had called into a medical monitoring system.
When police arrived, Pesek refused to come out and told officers he had a gun and would shoot if they came inside.
His weapon turned out to be a pellet rifle.
He was arrested after a three-hour standoff with Union Township Police and Clermont County Special Response units.
Pesek is being charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic.
