BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - A man who faces a murder charge for the death of a Florence woman now faces new charges. On August 21, a Boone County grand jury indicted David Dooley on two felony counts.

Those charges are use of a minor in a sexual performance and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

According to the indictment, the alleged crimes took place between February 2004 and February 2007. The indictment also claims Dooley had a digital photograph that portrays use of a minor under the age of 16 to engage in a sexual performance.

Dooley is already locked up in the Boone County Jail while he awaits trial for his role in the death of Michele Mockbee. These new charges are unrelated to that murder case.

Dooley was initially convicted of murdering Mockbee at their workplace Thermo Fisher Scientific in Florence in 2012. A judge ordered a new trial for Dooley in May of 2017.
