CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) - Taste of Belgium, the Cincinnati-based restaurant famous for its Belgian waffles and fried chicken, is combining its headquarters and commissary in Walnut Hills.

Taste of Belgium has signed a long-term lease for about 10,000 square feet of space in a portion of the Paramount Square redevelopment. Currently, the company’s offices are located at 2170 Gilbert Ave., also in Walnut Hills. Its commissary is located in Over-the-Rhine.

Jean-Francois Flechet, owner and “chief waffle officer” of Taste of Belgium, said he is making the move to combine operations to improve efficiency and food consistency while increasing capacity.

“We’re trying to put our ducks in a row so we can take on the next phase of growth,” Flechet told me. “We needed more equipment, more room, it made more sense in terms of utility needs to move the location.”
