Teen pleads guilty in attempted robbery, fatal shooting of Ross High School student
ROSS TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A local teen pleaded guilty to robbing and shooting a Ross High School student.
Seventeen-year-old Zachary Welsh pleaded guilty Tuesday to involuntary manslaughter, aggravated robbery and two counts of tampering with evidence.
Eighteen-year-old Ross senior Austin Hensley was shot once in the head at a Ross Township home during a robbery attempt in February.
Welsh agreed to a 30-year sentence on Tuesday's reduced charges. Another 17-year-old was sentenced to a rehabilitation center after pleading guilty to firearm theft in connection with the shooting.
