These are Southwest Ohio's most dangerous intersections
CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) - Colerain Avenue might just be the most dangerous road in Cincinnati, according to data from the Ohio Department of Transportation on accident-prone intersections around the region.
Using ODOT data, the Cincinnati Business Courier rounded up the 25 intersections in District 8 counties that see more crashes on average than they should. Of those, Colerain Avenue makes an appearance five times. District 8 covers Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Green, Preble, Hamilton and Warren counties, although only Butler, Clermont and Hamilton counties make appearances among the top 25.
The 25 most dangerous intersections aren’t necessarily the ones with the most accidents. According to ODOT, that figure isn't the best indicator of a location that will benefit most from infrastructure attention. The rankings here go by expected excess crashes per year, which looks at long-term performance and determines which locations have more crashes in number in severity than they should.
